Wind farm Fryslân is being built in the IJsselmeer. The wind farm consists of 89 turbines of 4.3 megawatts each. On an annual basis Wind farm Fryslân produces about 1.5 terawatt hours (1,500,000 megawatt hours). This is about 1.2% of the Dutch electricity consumption and corresponds to the consumption of about 500,000 households.
Wind farm Fryslân is the world’s largest wind farm in an inland waterway. The wind farm will be operational in 2021. Of a total of 145 km of power cable for the Fryslân wind farm, 90 km are located in the IJsselmeer.55 km of cable is from the transformer station to Oudehaske. Part of the cable is located in the verge along the A7 and we distribute the fuel there. We are proud that FullTank can contribute to this prestigious project!
