Oosterweel connection Belgium

For the extensive Oosterweel project in Belgium, we are commissioned by Jan de Nul to provide fuel distribution for the construction of the tunnel elements in Zeebrugge. Every day, at the request of customers, our driver Yoeri fills the machines, generators and pumps outside their working hours, so that they can get started with a FullTank the next morning. FullTank guarantees continuity and relieves the customer.

The Oosterweel connection completes the Antwerp Ring. The Scheldt tunnel is the most important link and closes the Antwerp Ring on the north side. Eight tunnel elements will be built in the inner port of Zeebrugge and then towed to Antwerp via the North Sea and the Westerschelde. There they are sunk one after the other in a pre-dredged trench in the Schelde.
The Oosterweel junction will be sunk into the landscape and will have eight lanes with entries and exits to the port and the north of Antwerp. The tunnel trenches will be constructed at a depth of fifteen to thirty metres, requiring the removal of over three million cubic metres of soil.
